Will the banking lenders step up to the plate to help rebuild those communities? Will the financial institutions play a significant role as in government helping the banks with the bailout funds they recieved to come back and flourish.
See a tornado changes lives, and it also takes lives. And no matter if it was manmade or by mother nature, The impact is total devastation. Those storms that raged across our country were surprising in the sheer size that they occurred.
Sometimes we cannot realize what may be brewing underneath the surface, and it is hard to prepare for the disaster that has been put upon us. The American people will bailout those in need and respond in the goodwill of donations of food and shelter, and money to help those who have been effected.
It is so simple, that is why I cannot understand the banks not giving out credit, and helping businesses, and people in general to turn this economy around from the storm it stirred up on the American people. They are part of the blame for this country in a deep recession, and tighting up on the lending when we need it the most.
Have you ever drove your car on the highway, and notice you were almost out of gas? The best choice you would make probably would be to turn off at the nearest exit, and put more gas in your car. In order for you to get where your going, you need more gas, and not less gas. Like many businesses, you need more capital to grow, to hire people, maybe to pay your employee's, and not less. You do not need for banks to tighten the credit in the time of need of this man made storm they created.
How long will these institutions take to understand the goodwill of the American people giving and helping those to recover from this misfortune? I hope soon! With our unemployment still near record levels, Many people could be hired to work and help rebuild these communities across America.
In Joplin, Mo. There was an employee of pizza hut that guided customers into the freezer before the tornado hit their business, and he needed a rope or cord to keep the freezer door closed when the storm came over them. He was blown out of that freezer while protecting those people, and died while the others survived.
This person saw a need, he did not care if you were rich or poor, democrat or republican, or your skin color, he did not ask how is your credit, He did what he thought was right to do for others and himself at that most important moment in time.
Now for his example to us, and to the banking system, and these large and mid-size corporations, and small companies, Its time to hire people, and to start lending out money, and easing up on your credit requirements, and get this economy going and this great country moving again.
